Ventrilo, no one uses it... Why?

I talked to Tego here one day and he agrees with me, we use Ventrilo way less than we should, its a great tool to get to know each other better and have less typing , I'd like that...
Its also better to use under etc Rift raids, it has better sound quality....

Shy talkers perhaps? I'm not used to talking in any games, at all. We didn't even use it back in WoW while raiding. So I getting around that treshold is.. well not difficult, but you know heh.

Also, I have a very crappy freebie headset at the moment. Poor quality and awful to wear. Would definately need to upgrade that.

Well its much easier to coordinate raids with voice, and ingame hasn't the best quality for sure... Also you get to know kinship members better, and for me a old Guardians of the west fella I love Vent and back then when we all used it was great!

We have used the in-game system with Thyrialin actually the whole time we been playing this game. The sound quality isn't great but it's been enough for us and it's very easy to use. Apart from the sound quality issue, what are the benefits of using Ventrilo instead of the in-game system?
